With unethical practices on rise, today more companies are doing background checks. The rate at which companies are jumping on to get existing and new employees verified / certified is increasing and growing exponentially.

Do not fake your resume or give wrong reference or mention wrong dates in your CV. Whatever lies you put in your resume will stay there for ever.

Take the first step.. have a honest resume, work experience and better is to get your resume certified.

Stories of fake encounters have got our soldiers real medals. Fake visas and passports have come out of the realm of spy novels and have recently led to radio tagging of Indian students duped by a fake university in the US. Only a few days ago I was happy to get an e-mail promising to get me a fake experience certificate in software. All I was expected to do was to send my resume to get a software experience embellishment to my otherwise uneventful marketing career.

Earlier time friends and relatives were the trusted sources and so as the companies directly or indirectly involved with them considered to be the most trusted ones. It seems that they have inhaled the air of unethicality and taking regularly as per the prescription of the masters of this field.
